New pictures posted!

Tuesday, Nov 02, 2010

Pictures from Fashion Strikes Back (much thanks to Haute Magazine for letting me use some of their pictures), and Arte Fresca 3 are now up in the visual section. The events were the same night so the gang got together for some sushi and fashion for charity (they even saved me some for after the show) at On Broadway before we headed over to The Suture Gallery in the East Village for the AF3 after-party where I played a short set. It was a crazy fun night, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone (too many to name) that made it possible!

Track of the Week: Dada Life: "Unleash the Fucking Dada"

Tuesday, Nov 02, 2010

I don't follow electrohouse super closely so Dada Life came out of nowhere for me about 6 months ago when a friend introduced me to their sound. While very gritty they're also very creative both in the booth and in the studio. The love those hard electro saws, but tend to add some really nice melodies to balance things out. They're always worth a listen, and the video is creepy!

Track of the Week: Japanese Popstars feat. Green Velvet "Let Go"

Tuesday, Oct 26, 2010

This one was almost a no brainer. It's been making the rounds this summer, but finally came out on Beatport last week. I like this track so much I opened Fashion Show at Fashion Strikes Back with it. It's got a noisy and dirty vibe but is accessible with that slightly understated feel that so many tracks in C minor seem to have.

New Track for Download

Thursday, Oct 21, 2010

I have a new original piece up on my Soundcloud for listening, scathing criticism, and download if you're that keen on it. "Out There" (okay, so not the best name ever) was to be the B-side to "Quirks Mode" A-Side, but I think it might be wrong about that. Anyway, you can listen to Out There by clicking that link. Happy Thursday!

Track of the Week Returns

Monday, Oct 18, 2010

Easier updates means more updates, so let's start off with bring back pointing out some cool new tracks. This week you have to check out Dragonette and Martin Solveig's "Hello" which is currently the #1 selling indie dance track on Beatport. Super fun, super catchy. For what it's worth my four year old loves it.

Sarin v3.0 Launched

Monday, Oct 18, 2010

To state the obvious, just in case the whole "looking different" thing wasn't enough (had to make something the first post), the new site is up. The old site was looking pretty dated, and a bit small in the 2 years and chance since I put it together. Also in a lot of ways it was a pain to update (hence my photos all being from circa 2005).

So I spent a few weeks pulling it apart and putting it back together with better audio, images, and even a shiny new blog. There's even an events section. I'll keep adding stuff, but in the meantime enjoy things not sucking as much.
