Rob Sarin
Bio
Rob Sarin first got into dance music as a teenager living in New Hampshire venturing to raves held at the Asylum in Springfield, MA. In college he moved to Boston and cut his teeth at 88.9 WERS as a DJ on Revolutions (the city's premiere EDM radio program) where he excelled and took over the popular Friday night slot after his first year on-air. From this platform, Rob brought EDM to thousands of listeners weekly and branched out to playing live, remixing, and production.
A self-proclaimed computer geek, Rob has embraced digital technology to blur the lines between DJing and production. Using a combination of Traktor and Ableton, Rob layers tracks, loops, and samples to produce his set on the fly.
Relocating to San Diego in late 2009, Rob has dedicated himself to involvement in the local electronic music scene. Whether it's playing until 4am for a house party or providing a lush deep house soundtrack for a charity art show, Rob's unique sound and love of DJing for DJing's sake have found him gaining ground quickly in his new surroundings notching gigs at Confidential, The Siren Lounge (Se Hotel) as well as playing smaller venues and numerous undergrounds with DIY promoters.
